- Observation (1 line): Something specific about them: a hiring spike, product release, tech stack.
- Tension (1 line): “Teams I speak with hit X problem when Y happens.”
- Outcome (1 line): “We helped {peer} reduce {pain} by {result}.”
- Soft ask (1 line): “Worth a 12-minute chat next week?”
Keep it under 90 words. No attachments. No “hope you’re well.” Send it, then get back to work. Consistency beats cleverness.
